As your local Federal Member in Parliament I am always keen to help and I want the system to work for people, not against them.
As your representative I can assist you with:
-
Answers to questions about Federal Government policies or programs.
-
Putting you in touch with a Federal Department relevant to your concerns.
-
Representing your case and participating directly in the discussions with Federal Government Ministers.
-
Advising you about issues happening in Federal Parliament.
-
Assisting you in having Your Say!
If you are looking for specific information or help, start by ensuring your request is going to the right person. In Australia we have Federal Government, State Government and Local Government (Councils). Each level of government deals with different issues. Try to choose the right elected representative for your problem.
The Federal Government deals with national issues such as immigration, defence, veterans' affairs, foreign affairs, Centrelink, Medicare and child support.
The State Government deals with issues such as health, education, transport, public housing, main roads and becoming a Justice of the Peace.
Councils deal with issues such as local roads, footpaths, rubbish collection and local sporting facilities.
If you are unsure whether your problem is federal, state or local please call my office and we will be able to point you in the right direction.
Please remember I am here to represent you whether you have voted for me or not!
